Featured Artist Bob Scott

Originally from the Berkshires in Massachusetts, Bob Scott and his wife Marge moved to Cookeville from Texas in 1992 when Bob was employed by TRW. He had previously worked for other companies in engineering /management. Cookeville and the people of this area were so pleasant that retirement here in 2001 was a natural choice.

Upon retiring, he joined the Cumberland Art Society and, after a year becoming reacquainted with drawing, he then began painting. His preference is for watercolor, but also works in oil and acrylic.

Bob became a member of the YMCA in 1993 and continues to work there. Recently he accepted the Y’s challenge to introduce some of the members to basic pencil drawing.  In addition to working out at the Y and golfing with a senior group, Bob plays dulcimer and guitar with the Cookeville Dulcimer Society. The group entertains at rest homes, elementary schools and some local functions.
